For me, the hardest part of reaching my fitness goals is nutrition. I can work out every day and challenge myself physically, but eating cleanly and fueling my body appropriately is difficult to maintain. I like food too much and get distracted by meals that are most definitely not on my meal plan. Sound familiar? Then keep reading...
Luckily for me, IdealLean Protein by IdealFit makes it easy to make healthy and nutritious meals to help me meet my goals. Let’s be honest: drinking protein shakes every day for most meals can be boring. Sure, you’re hitting your numbers and staying within your meal plan goals, but meals are meant to be chewed, not slurped. With IdealLean Protein you can add the powder to almost any meal and eat real food, while still reaping the nutritional benefits. Eating well doesn’t have to be restrictive, and in fact, eating well can be downright delicious.
For instance, I have an insane sweet tooth, so it’s not uncommon for me to reach for a pastry or other baked good in the morning. It’s quick, it’s easy, and it tastes good. But, it doesn’t fit within my meal plan and it definitely doesn’t fuel me for the long day ahead. Now with IdealLean Protein and IdealFit's handy 101 Protein Recipe eBook, I can make delicious foods like “Molton Mug Cake” that are still quick, easy, and taste good. Now they also fit within my meal plan and keep me satisfied throughout the day.
I mean it when I say it’s easy. All you need is:
- 1 banana
- 1 scoop of Chocolate Brownie IdealLean Protein
- 1 ½ TBSP of cocoa powder
- 1 medium egg
You want to blend it in a blender for a smooth consistency.
Next, you’ll want to coat a mug with coconut oil to avoid sticking, and then you can pour in your batter.
Your mixture will look like legitimate cake better. Resist
the urge to eat the cake batter.
The recipe says to microwave the batter for 1 minute.
If it’s still not cooked, microwave it again for 10 sec intervals. Remember, you want a “molton cake” consistency, so don’t overcook it.
I microwaved my cake for a total of 1 minute and 20 seconds.
Here it is! Cake for breakfast can totally be a thing. And a healthy thing at that. The center was super chocolate-y and gooey. And it tasted good.
One of the best things about being an adult is being able to eat whatever you want for breakfast. However, being a responsible adult (who likes to work out and eat well), means that your cake should be healthy and good for you. The Molton Mug Cake from IdealLean is that cake we've all dreamed of.
